Cross-country Skiing and Snowshoeing
Samoens offers 47 kilometres of cross country skiing in the valley and a further 30 kilometres at altitude in the Col de Joux Plane (a shuttle bus runs from town centre), with stunning vistas of Mont Blanc and the Giffre valley.
There are also many marked miles of snowshoe trails on both sides of the valley above and below the tree line.
Equipment for both activities can easily be rented in the village.
